We had a wonderful time again this year at the 3rd Japan Summer festival in West Hartford! Thank you to the Japan Society of Greater Hartford and the city of West Hartford, CT for inviting us and to everyone who came to see the show despite the capricious weather! We managed to play our full set before the rain started but are truly sorry for the inconvenience caused by the time change for anyone who came from far to see us. 🙁 We hope that you were able to see part or most of the show! We are very grateful to the organizers and numerous volunteers for all of their efforts and very warm hospitality. Thank you also to Yumiko Saito for beautifully capturing many great moments from the festival! Please feel free to visit our flickr album for more of her great pictures.

We also had a great time performing at the Lexus Spinelli opening in Lachine and St-Jean celebration in Chinatown. There are a few great videos on Facebook captured by some of the wonderful folks we met during these events. Have a look! 🙂

This month, Arashi will be collaborating with Komachi Montreal and participating in Montreal’s Canada Day Parade along St-Catherine street between Fort and Peel (Jul 1st starting around 11am). We will also be at the Festival de la SOUPE in Lasalle’s Parc des Rapides July 1st for a brief show at 4pm. July 11th we will be giving a 90min show at this year’s percussion festival in Verdun. Later in the month we will be at the 1001 pots festival in Val-David (July 30th). Please see our calendar page for more details.

We hope to see you soon! Have a great summer! 🙂
